The Heart Behind Pet Care
Meet Dr. Jasleen Kaur. A veterinary surgeon with a Master’s degree in Surgery and Radiology, an MBA from ISB, and a Diploma in Animal Protection Law from NALSAR, she is the co-founder of Allpets Clinic and Beyond. It is a multi-speciality veterinary healthcare group based in Hyderabad. Over the years, our focus has been on building accessible, high-quality veterinary care while also investing in technology, education, and innovation within the veterinary profession.
I have been practicing for over a decade now! I have always had pets at home. We got our first dog when I was 4. And I lost her when I was 13. Her loss had a very deep impact on me, which convinced me to become a vet. I don’t think I have ever wanted to be anything else or consider any other career options. The love for pets and the bond I see between pet parents and their pets is what motivates me to keep doing what I’m doing and do right by the innocent little kids.
The Story of New-Age Pet Parenting
The biggest change is that pets are now genuinely considered family members. Earlier, veterinary visits were often limited to vaccinations or emergencies. Today, pet parents are far more aware of preventive healthcare, nutrition, behaviour, dentistry, rehabilitation, and senior pet care and far more willing to invest in their pets.
Access to information has also changed the landscape. Pet parents are more informed, ask more questions, and want to actively participate in healthcare decisions. At the same time, advancements in diagnostics, imaging, surgery, and specialised treatments have significantly improved the quality of veterinary care available in India.
Challenges Behind the White Coat
One of the biggest challenges is balancing medical realities with emotional expectations. Veterinary medicine has advanced tremendously, but unlike human healthcare, financial decisions often influence treatment choices.
Another challenge is the growing demand for specialised care while managing a shortage of trained veterinary professionals. The profession can also be emotionally demanding, with veterinarians regularly dealing with critically ill patients, difficult decisions, and client grief.
Additionally, educating pet parents about preventive healthcare remains an ongoing challenge, as many health issues can be avoided through timely intervention and routine care.
Changing Pawspective – The Big Shift
I believe India is entering a very exciting phase in companion animal healthcare. Pet parenting will become more proactive, with greater emphasis on preventive medicine, wellness programmes, nutrition, behavioural health, and geriatric care.
Technology will play a major role through telemedicine, AI-assisted diagnostics, digital health records, and remote monitoring. We will also see increased demand for specialist services, advanced surgeries, rehabilitation, oncology, cardiology, and critical care.
Overall, veterinary care in India will become more organised, evidence-based, and accessible, bringing us closer to global standards of pet healthcare.

At Allpets Clinic and Beyond, we offer complete veterinary care under one roof—from consultations, diagnostics, surgery, critical care, preventive healthcare, and 24/7 emergency services to inpatient treatment. We also provide day and long-term boarding, professional grooming, a pet pharmacy, and a pet shop.
To ensure a stress-free experience, we have dedicated consultation rooms for cats and birds and specialise in caring for exotic pets, including rabbits, guinea pigs, turtles, birds, and hamsters. We were also the first clinic in Hyderabad to introduce a pet swimming pool for recreation, physiotherapy, and rehabilitation.
Beyond medical care, we have a pet-friendly café where families can relax with their companions. We’re also developing a dedicated end-of-life support centre with cremation services and grief counselling. Above all, we focus on transparent communication, helping pet parents make informed decisions about their pets’ health.

Building a Stronger Veterinary Future
Allpets, with our other company, PetExpert, conducts regular hands-on training programs with clinical immersion and exposure and a guaranteed placement for Paravets and Fresh Vets. We also conduct regular training and information sessions for Vets on the use and applications of AI in our field to enable them to be better prepared for the future tech developments.
Our new venture with end-of-life care will also include grief counselling for Vets to prevent burnout from the emotional turmoil this profession takes on Vets.
