How It All Started
Dog.alicious started from a very personal place: my love for dogs, especially our Labrador, Noddy. During the pandemic, my sister Sowmya Killamshetty and I wanted to make his birthday special, but we realized there were very few safe and healthy cake options available for pets in the city. So, we baked one ourselves using pet-friendly ingredients, and Noddy absolutely loved it. That small moment eventually became the inspiration behind Dog.alicious.
I, along with my sister Sowmya, started this journey in 2020, and what began as a homemade cake slowly grew into a brand trusted by pet parents across Hyderabad. The journey has been exciting, emotional, and incredibly rewarding because we get to be part of some of the happiest moments in pets’ lives.

Some of the most memorable cakes we’ve created are realistic dog face cakes, luxury tier cakes, and fully customized birthday themes inspired by your pet’s personality. We’ve done everything from superhero cakes to elegant pastel vintage cakes, personalized cookies, donuts, and even celebration hampers.
One of the most emotional orders was for a rescued pet celebrating his first birthday after adoption. Moments like these remind us that our cakes are not just desserts; they become part of meaningful memories for families. Peanut butter cakes are definitely one of the all-time favourites among dogs. Flavours like pumpkin, banana, chicken, and sweet potato are also very popular.

We have noticed a lot of new trends in pet birthdays and celebrations. These celebrations have become more elaborate and personalized than ever before. Pet parents now organize complete birthday parties with themed décor, customized cakes, photoshoots, matching outfits, and return gifts for furry guests.
There’s also a growing awareness about pet nutrition, so many people now look for healthier, preservative-free treats that are both aesthetic and safe for their pets.
The Secret Ingredient is Love, With Lots of Safety
Safety and hygiene are our biggest priorities at Dog.alicious. We carefully choose pet-friendly ingredients and avoid anything harmful like chocolate, refined sugar, artificial sweeteners, or preservatives.
We use ingredients like oats, rice flour, peanut butter, pumpkin, sweet potato, fruits, and yogurt-based frostings depending on the recipe. Since a lot of pets have allergies or dietary restrictions, we also customize cakes according to their specific health needs and openly share ingredient details with pet parents.
Stories Straight from the Heart
One of the funniest things is watching pets get so excited that they try to eat the cake before the candles are even lit! We’ve also had some furry friends who refuse to leave the table after tasting the frosting.
Emotionally, some of the most touching moments are when pet parents celebrate rescue anniversaries or birthdays for senior pets. Seeing families love and cherish their pets like children is something that truly stays with us.
