In a country where pet parenting is rapidly evolving, Petdeals, a women-led venture, has quietly yet powerfully redefined what responsible, informed, and compassionate pet care truly means.

A testament to purpose-driven entrepreneurship—built not merely on commerce, but on empathy, education, and an unwavering commitment to animal well-being.

A Founder Driven by Passion, Not Profit

The story began long before e-commerce. In 2011, founder Rishika Kothari left her job to follow her calling—working with dogs—and went on to become a canine trainer. She has since trained over 150 dogs across Indore and Mumbai, helping pet parents build healthier bonds with their pets.

Her work expanded into boarding services under We’re MAD – Mad About Dogs, pet education, therapy initiatives, and school awareness programs. An accredited Labrador Retriever breeder recognised by the Kennel Club of India, Rishika remains deeply committed to ethical, responsible animal care.

When Crisis Turned into a Calling

During the first COVID-19 lockdown, when founder Rishika compassionately fed 80–100 stray dogs daily across Indore, in memory of her late father. With no organisational backing, she personally delivered pet essentials to struggling pet parents, becoming a crucial support during the crisis.

During the second lockdown, growing community support helped her distribute over 365 kg of dog and cat food in just 10 days to feeders and NGOs across the city—ensuring street animals didn’t go hungry during one of Indore’s toughest times.

Building More Than a Store

What began as a post-lockdown emergency response soon evolved into a long-term vision. Petdeals is now a women-led online pet store, built on technology, trust, and deep domain expertise.

Five years on, they offer curated pet products and trusted guidance, going beyond transactions to promote responsible, holistic pet parenting through collaborations with ethical and sustainable brands across India.

The Future of Pet Parenting in India

Pet parenting in India is at a crucial turning point. As pets increasingly become integral family members—not just companions—the responsibility on pet parents grows manifold. The future demands informed decision-making: spending right, choosing correct nutrition, relying on credible sources, and understanding that bringing home a pet is a commitment of at least 11–14 years.

Pets today serve as emotional anchors, therapy partners, and family members. Their correct upbringing will naturally drive demand for holistic, quality products and responsible industry practices.

Committed to Creating Value that Lasts

The aim is to provide the best quality products for pets while empowering pet parents with the right knowledge of nutrition, healthcare, grooming, training, and behaviour—ensuring a healthy, happy life for our four-legged children.

A Vision Rooted in Impact and Growth

To work toward a sustainable future by representing the best pet products, continuously improving services, guiding pet parents toward responsible choices, and upholding transparency and honesty while expanding nationally.

Rishika’s work impact have been recognised nationally through multiple honours, including awards by Free Press, the World Book of Records, and entrepreneurial forums—celebrating not just business success, but humanity, leadership, and resilience.

Giving Back to the Community

Through its ongoing CSR efforts, they support daily feeding and care of community dogs and cats across Indore. Beyond on-ground action, they are actively involved in the Supreme Court fight for the protection and rights of street dogs—advocating humane, lawful, and compassionate coexistence alongside local feeders and volunteers.

It is a movement rooted in compassion, education, and responsibility—one that is steadily redefining what it means to be a pet parent in India.
